The Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. – Central Alabama Chapter aims to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease through education, advocacy, and support.​

The Sickle Cell Foundation wants to make sure you get the help that you need when it is needed. They want you to better understand the disease so that you can make informed decisions about your life and your care. They also want you to take all opportunities to learn more about health strategies, pain management strategies and medications that can help treat your disease.

As you know, sickle cell disease affects every aspect of a person’s life. The Sickle Cell Foundation is available to assist affected individuals and families with these challenges. They provide referrals to programs and services available in our community. At the Sickle Cell Foundation, they work to connect you with the network and to connect you to others who have experienced the sickle cell disease journey.
