Sickle Cell Association of Houston provides various services aimed at achieving healthier outcomes for individuals living with the inherited rare genetic disorder known as sickle cell anemia. Sickle Cell Association of Houston is staffed with certified genetics education counselors in the area of sickle cell disease and is the only City of Houston partner agency for sickle cell disease providing an unmatched level of support and service for the sickle cell population.

It is the commitment to the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area for those living with sickle cell disease, that we hold ourselves accountable by providing programming that assures all persons living with sickle cell disease; can indeed live without limits!

Our vision is to broaden our local communities perspective on sickle cell anemia and sickle cell trait through:

-Initiatives aimed at raising awareness of sickle cell disease
-Improving access to quality care and appropriate support services
-Bridging the gap between those affected by sickle cell disease, the medical community, and other vital agencies through increased sickle cell awareness, community engagement, and self- empowerment
