The mission of the Kwamie Lassiter Foundation is to make health and wellness a priority by increasing the awareness to a better living. The founder, Kwamie, was born in Hampton and raised in Newport News, Virginia. He attended Menchville High School in Newport News before heading to the University of Kansas where he studied Communication/ Public Relations with a great stop in between while receiving an Associate of Arts at Butler County Community College.
The foundation focuses on educating boys and girls on the importance of staying healthy by leading an active life and making good decisions with food. He wants to bring awareness to the diseases effecting people like Sickle Cell, Cancer, and Childhood Obesity.
