39th annual sickle cell road race/walk

The Sickle Cell Road Race/Walk is a RRCA-certified State Championship race — a major attraction for runners! The race is foremost a charitable event, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit mission and programs of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. SCFG serves people affected by sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait.

Participants will run the challenging 7k (4.3 miles) course or walk the comfortable 4k (2.5 miles) course down Main Street and through East Point‘s diverse communities. While in town, everyone will get a glimpse of the downtown growth, convenient transit, neighborhood charm, hospitality, and robust businesses like yours, which the City of East Point offers.
